How to Survive London Fashion Week

Fashion Week is just around the corner and for many Londoners that means surviving long days with very little sleep. If you have a hectic show schedule, these tips will help you to tackle Fashion Week head on.

Wear Flats

If this is your first Fashion Week experience, looking stylish will naturally be your top priority. However, it is not wise to choose fashion over function. You will spend the majority of your day on your feet so skyscraper heels are not the best choice. If you do decide to opt for heels, stow away a pair of flats in your bag.

Pack Snacks

As the fashion elite will tell you, Fashion Week isn’t the time for having a leisurely lunch at one of London’s most coveted eateries. With this in mind, every Fashion Week attendee should have a mini survival kit tucked away in their tote and it is essential that you have snacks at the ready. While it may be tempting to live on a liquid diet of string coffee and the occasional glass of champagne, having a few energy bars in your bag can really perk you up when you are flagging.

Sport a Statement Bag

Juggling cameras, smart phones and fashion show tickets isn’t easy and you won’t survive Fashion Week if you don’t get your brush up on your organisational skills. A statement bag is essential to complete any fashion week outfit and the perfect place to store everything you need to survive fashion week. Sunglasses, bottled water and your trusty camera are just a few of the things you will need on your person so it really is a case of the bigger the better when it comes to choosing the perfect London Fashion Week bag.

Enjoy a Little Luxury

London Fashion Week is undoubtedly one of the busiest times of the year for bloggers, stylists and fashion editors alike. Being on your feet all day, running from show to show can really take its toll on your body. So, that’s why at the end of the day, you should retire to a hotel that envelops you with luxury. Booking in at one of London’s most luxurious hotels can ensure you get the downtime you require in-between shows.

So, there you have it, London Fashion Week doesn’t have to be stressful, simply follow the tips above for a fun Fashion Week experience.
