Regents Park

Located in the Northern part of Central London (partly in Westminster and partly in Camden), the Regent's Park is not only the largest grass area for sports of the city, but it also offers a wide variety of activities. The Regent’s Park has a 166 hectares (410 acres) area with different attractions such as beautiful rose gardens (with more than 400 varieties of roses), a lake, an Open Air Theatre, the London Zoo, the Regent’s Park Mosque, many cafes and restaurants.

One of the major attractions of the Regent's Park is the Hub, a Multi sport Community that includes changing rooms and showers, two large rooms where sport activities for both adults and children are organized and rooms for hire. Besides the formal activities organized, many different sports could be practiced in the park including tennis, netball, athletics, cricket, softball, football, hockey, rugby, frisbee, boating, among others.

The Regent's Park is an important wildlife reserve, and its biodiversity has been well conserved during the last years. It is a great place for bird watching since it was recognized as one of the richest sites in London when it comes to bird species. The park also hosts a huge collection of waterfowl species from all over the world.

The Regent's Park is home of the Regents College's campus, whose students could be seen on its coffee shops and restaurants or just strolling around, giving the park a young and cosmopolitan atmosphere all along the year.
